It is not uncommon practice, but at the same time probably nobody could have guessed that the series of jam sessions that took place in the western end of the Athenian peninsula in the summer of 2012 would carry the seed of an exciting band.
The crew of Panagiotis Haloulakos (Vocals, Guitar), Giannis Fourikis (Guitar, bVox), settled in a rehearsal space in Perama and laid down the foundation of what ΛΔΛΜ (ADAM) would become, a creatively focused band of experimental rock, with wide-ranged influences and a clear path to follow.
The gears were now set in motion and after a few years of detailing and overlapping composed material, the EP "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil" was released in 2016 digitally and brought the band in touch with their audience for the first time, in a series of shows all around the Greek territory.
Next year, Dimitris Eginitis (drums) and George Eginitis (bass) joined the group and the final piece that would lead to the debut album was in place. The sessions for “SUN” were underway and the ambitious plan for a 7 track concept album themed around hope and anticipation for better days that may never come as well as the spiritual liberation through a psychedelic journey between the macrocosm and the microcosm, was not long from becoming a reality.
Produced by ΛΔΛΜ and Stelios Efendakis (Gardenbox), recorded at the Haus of ΛΔΛΜ and getting mixed and mastered at Ritual Studios in Athens, “SUN” bears all the artistic experimentation and multi collective sound of post rock, grunge and alternative metal, through a scope of dark disposition and atmospheric narrative.
The digital release on August 21st 2020 – that now has more than 1.000.000 streams worldwide as parts of it have found a place on radio stations in America and Europe - was accompanied by a series of physical format editions via Venerate Industries in the spring of 2021. The release of “SUN” in (sold out) gold and black vinyl, digipack CD and cassette, as well as a line of official merchandise clothing were out on June 4th, 2021 and received critical acclaim. A worldwide promo campaign provided reach and extension of the existing fanbase and was capped off with the digital release of a full album live playthrough video performance. “The Sun That Never Comes: Live at MBS Studios” is the crown jewel of this album cycle showcasing the force that ΛΔΛΜ is on stage, while the band is getting ready to hit the live concert circuit as soon as the current circumstances allow it.
