Breakeven is a five-piece band from Athens, Greece, formed in 2022 by musicians coming from different corners of the local music scene, featuring former / current members of renowned bands such as Flipstar, Overjoyed, Tardive Dyskinesia, Potergeist, Middle Fingers High, Dead City Motion & Dismiss. Each brought their own sound and background, coming together around a shared drive to make music that’s fast, heavy, and straight to the point. Blending punk energy, hardcore grit, and the weight of modern metal with hints of melody, they write songs that hit hard — both sonically and emotionally. Their lyrics tap into the tension of everyday life: frustration, disconnection, and the struggle to stay real in a chaotic world.

In 2024, the band released their debut single “War in My Mind,” followed closely by “Can’t See Straight” and “Superiority Complex.” All three tracks came together on their first EP, also titled “War in My Mind,” a raw and honest look into themes of pressure, conflict, and resistance.

Known for their sharp, no-frills live shows, the Breakeven quintet has already made a name for themselves in Athens' underground scene - and they’re just getting started. October 2025 brought them to Venerate Industries roster, pumped up and excitingly working on their next full length album which is about to be released in 2026.
